Life In The Caribbean Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

By purchasing or subscribing to any Life in the Caribbean (LIC) product — including the Business Black Card, Consumer Blue Card, or Consumer White Card — you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your participation in the LIC network, which connects brands and consumers across 18 English-speaking Caribbean countries.

2. Product Types

LIC provides digital membership cards that offer varying benefits depending on the type of card purchased or subscribed to:

  • Black Card (Business Membership): Provides business visibility, marketing access, and regional exposure across the LIC network and its associated national platforms (e.g., Life in Jamaica, Life in Guyana, etc.).
  • Blue Card (Paid Consumer Membership): Gives cardholders access to exclusive regional discounts and promotions across participating businesses and destinations.
  • White Card (Free Consumer Membership): Offers general access to discounts, promotions, and member experiences within the LIC ecosystem.

3. Payment Terms

For paid memberships, full payment is required upfront.

All payments are non-refundable once processed unless otherwise stated.

Accepted payment methods include debit/credit card, online transfer, or other listed options.

Memberships are valid for one (1) year from the date of activation and do not auto-renew unless specified.

4. Deliverables and Activation

Upon payment confirmation or registration:

  • Business Members (Black Card): Your listing will be featured on Life in the Caribbean and your corresponding Life in Country brand site (e.g., Life in Trinidad & Tobago, Life in Barbados).
  • Consumer Members (White/Blue Card): You will receive digital access to your card via Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and access to member-exclusive deals and experiences across the region.
    Standard activation time is within 5–10 business days of payment confirmation.

5. Member Responsibilities

All members agree to provide accurate, lawful, and up-to-date information.

Businesses are responsible for maintaining their listings, promotional content, and offers in compliance with LIC guidelines and applicable laws.

Consumer members must use their cards in accordance with program rules and may not share, resell, or transfer memberships.

6. Marketing and Promotions

LIC may feature member businesses, offers, and promotions across its platforms, social media channels, and newsletters.

By joining LIC, you grant Paradox Studios Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your brand name, logo, and promotional materials for marketing and operational purposes related to the program.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

All purchases are final.

Refunds are only granted if LIC fails to deliver the core benefits of the purchased product due to internal error.

Cancellation requests made before activation must be submitted to support@lifeincaribbean.com within 24 hours of payment.

Early termination or withdrawal from the program does not entitle a member to a refund or credit.

8. Termination of Membership

LIC reserves the right to suspend or terminate a member account without refund if:

  • The member violates these terms.
  • Submitted content or behavior damages the LIC brand or network reputation.
  • False, misleading, or illegal information is shared through the platform.

9. Liability

LIC and Paradox Studios Limited are not liable for indirect losses, including business interruptions, missed opportunities, or errors in user-submitted content.

While LIC strives for uninterrupted access, temporary downtime or third-party issues (e.g., Apple/Google Wallet) may occur.

Total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the active membership term.

10. Privacy and Data

LIC collects member data solely for service delivery, communication, and improvement purposes.

Data is processed according to regional data protection laws. LIC will not sell, rent, or share personally identifiable information with third parties for marketing without consent.

11. Updates and Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically. The most recent version will always be available on lifeincaribbean.com.

Continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of any changes made.
